This policy explains how the Aamel platform collects your personal data, why it uses it, who it shares it with, how it protects it, and your rights over it. It covers the customer app “Aamel” (عامل), the service-provider app “Aamel Partner” (عامل شريك), and this website. We follow the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.
1. Who we are
The party responsible for processing your data is company legal name, Commercial Registration number and national address (to be added once the CR is issued), in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For anything about privacy: support@amil.sa
2. Data we collect
What you give us
- Your mobile number, to create your account and sign in with a code sent by text message, and your name.
- Request details: the type of work, number of hours, number of providers, the description, any photos you choose to attach, and the job location.
- Messages sent inside the app, ratings, and your messages to support.
What a service provider gives us in Aamel Partner, in addition
- Identity and right-to-work verification data, such as a national ID or residence (iqama) number, and the documents the law requires.
- A bank account number (IBAN) for paying earnings, and the history of jobs and earnings.
- Precise location while available for requests and during a booking, so the customer can see the arrival time and the service time can be recorded.
What we collect automatically when you use the apps
- The customer's location when setting the job location, with permission.
- Booking records: times of acceptance, arrival, start and finish.
- The device token needed to send notifications, device type, operating-system and app version, and crash logs.
Payments
Card details are processed by licensed payment providers. We do not store your full card number. We keep a record of each transaction: amount, date and status.
What we do not do
We do not access the contacts on your device, we do not use your data for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
3. Why we use it
- To create and verify your account.
- To match your request with a suitable nearby provider and show their arrival time.
- To carry out bookings, take payments, pay earnings and issue invoices.
- For safety, to prevent fraud and misuse, and to handle complaints and disputes.
- For customer support and notifications about your requests.
- To improve the service, using aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
- To meet legal obligations, such as zakat and tax rules and requests from competent authorities.
- For marketing messages, only with your consent; you can stop them at any time.
We process your data with your consent, or because it is needed to perform our agreement with you, to meet a legal obligation, or for a legitimate interest, within the limits the law allows.
4. Who we share it with
- The two sides of a booking, only as needed: the provider sees your name and the request details, and sees your exact location only after accepting the booking. The customer sees the provider's name, rating and location while they are on the way. Where possible we use in-app messaging so mobile numbers are not shown.
- Service providers working for us: cloud hosting, text messages, notifications, maps and payments. They process data on our instructions under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Competent government authorities: when the law requires it.
- If the company merges or changes ownership: with notice to you first.
5. Where we store it
We store your data on servers inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Limited data may pass through technical services outside the Kingdom that the device needs to work, such as Apple's notification service. Any transfer outside the Kingdom follows the PDPL and the regulation on transferring personal data outside the Kingdom.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. After you delete your account we destroy it or remove what identifies you, except what the law requires us to keep, such as financial and tax records, or what is needed for an open dispute, and only for as long as the law sets.
7. Your rights
The PDPL gives you the right:
- to know how and why your data is collected, which this policy explains;
- to access the data we hold about you and get a copy in a clear format;
- to ask us to correct, complete or update your data;
- to ask us to destroy your data when it is no longer needed;
- to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
To use any of these rights, write to support@amil.sa from the mobile number or email linked to your account. We will reply within the period the law sets. You may also complain to the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the account settings in the app, or by writing to support@amil.sa. If you have an open booking or an unsettled amount, we finish that first and then delete the account.
9. Security
We encrypt data in transit, limit access to the team members who need it for their work, and review our measures regularly. If an incident affects your data, we inform the competent authorities and you, as the law requires.
10. Minors
The apps are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
11. This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. The hosting provider keeps temporary technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when needed. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by other available means before they take effect. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
